These characters haunt us, calling us, calling for life and remind us of what it is to be human.

Adapted from William Faulkner's epic novel, As I Lay Dying is a mythic story about the death of Addie Bundren and the Bundren family's journey across the Mississippi to fulfill their matriarch's wishes to be buried in her hometown of Jefferson, Mississippi. The split narratives of Faulkner’s multiple characters expose the interior life of each Bundren as they struggle to survive through floods and fires with a coffin on a rickety old wagon for 10 days.
